Children and Family Centres

The Lloyd Park Children’s Charity is proud to deliver Children and Family Centre Universal Services on behalf of the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Our role is to provide play sessions, health workshops and support families with children under five years.

We offer almost 80 sessions per week for families and children in nearly 30 locations across Chingford, Leyton, Leytonstone and Walthamstow.

We work in partnership with the North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), Health Exercise and Nutrition for the Really Young (HENRY), and Waltham Forest’s Early Help team.

They run child health clinics and offer speech and language therapy, infant feeding support, healthy living guidance, as well as family support services.

Early Education – learning through play

We believe young children learn best through play. See our timetable of play sessions for children aged 0-4 years and their parents including sessions for fathers, new babies, crawlers and 2-year-olds.

We also offer Somewhere to Belong – a smaller group for families who may be concerned about their child’s learning and development, special educational need or disability.

Support to Families

We believe all families need support from time to time. Our staff can offer some one to one support about parenting, child development and any other concerns about family life.

We offer parenting programmes, Flourish (a post-natal depression support group) a Baby Bank for families in need of baby essentials and we refer to organisations such as food banks.

Our support is usually short term, however we can sign post to a range of other local support services.
